DONATE FOR THE HISTORIC KISAN MUKTI MARCH INTO DELHI, NOV.29-30, 2018
Donate for the Historic Kisan Mukti March in Delhi
One Lakh farmers will be marching to Delhi on Nov 29th and 30th, 2018, traveling from across the country. They are calling for the nation’s attention to the situation of the farming community, and demanding that a Special Session of Parliament be called to discuss and pass the two Kisan Mukti Bills – for Guaranteed Remunerative Prices and Freedom from Indebtedness.
More than 200 diverse farmer and peasant organizations are part of an unprecedented coalition called the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) which was formed in June 2017 and has been coordinating the nationwide movement. ASHA and its associates such as Rythu Swarajya Vedika are part of AIKSCC, with Kavitha Kuruganti & Kiran Vissa as members of AIKSCC’s National Working Group.
TODAY, the farmers’ struggle needs YOUR support. It is time for all sections of the society to tell the farmers that we are with them. Your donations will help support the travel of hundreds of farmers to Delhi, and meet the expenses of the march and the rally on 29th & 30th. The expenditure for each farmer would be about Rs.2000. Please decide how many farmers you can help take part in this historic struggle!
Note:
- Donations are being received in the account of Indian Social Action Forum, a registered organization based in Delhi
- The funds will be used by ASHA towards participants’ travel and organizing expenses of the March
- The expenditure details will be shared with you soon after the March.
Our Actions Matter Last Year’s Kisan Mukti Sansad with 50,000 farmers inspired millions of farmers across the country, and forced the Central Government to come up with big announcements on giving better Minimum Support Prices (MSP) – something the government avoided doing in its first 4 years. Farmers’ issues have taken centre-stage in all states and at the Centre.
Time for a Big Push: Mere announcements by the governments don’t deliver to farmers, unless they are backed by laws made by Parliament assuring Guaranteed Remunerative MSP, and Freedom from Indebtedness. The Kisan Mukti March 2018 is the big push to achieve these two key demands, and to place a broader farmers’ charter before the nation.
