An ASHA Skillshare Course on Tools for Advocacy to Secure Farmers’ Rights & To Improve Farm Livelihoods
December 19-20, 2019: Bengaluru
How do we understand advocacy? Is it only vis-a-vis the State, or is it about influencing market forces and society too? What are the ways by which some citizen rights were secured by people’s movements in India? How can corporations be held accountable? How can farmers’ issues be taken up for influencing policy-makers? What role can ordinary citizens play?
Alliance for Sustainable & Holistic Agriculture (ASHA) Kisan Swaraj is organising a 2-day skillshare course on tools for advocacy to secure farmers’ rights and to improve farm livelihoods on Dec.19-20 2019 in Bengaluru.
This skillshare course from ASHA will bring you expertise and perspectives on understanding Gandhian approaches to Satyagraha, building people’s movements, holding corporations accountable, on non-violent direct action, on planning and executing campaigns and on tools available with citizens to run campaigns themselves as well as to extend solidarity.
