Government of India under the UPA regime, tried to bring ecologically disastrous agricultural practices to Eastern Indian states under a special stream of RKVY (Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana) scheme. ASHA initiated a campaign in the different states of Eastern India to ensure that the new investments into this region do not replicate the Punjab model of Green Revolution!
