Our suggestions to Karnataka Govt. on nutrition security and farmers’ prosperity

On September 27, 2023, led by Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) state level leaders Shri Badagalapura Nagendra and Shri Chamarasa Patil along with Melukote MLA Shri Darshan Puttannaiah, members of ASHA-Karnataka, MAKAAM-Karnataka and Jagrutha Karnataka made a presentation to the Hon’ble Agriculture Minister of Karnataka Shri N Cheluvarayaswamy. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/kqY62ZEVBkouJnGo/?mibextid=oFDknk . This was on re-purposing the expenditure being made on Karnataka Government in giving DBT amounts in Anna Bhagya scheme for an additional five kilos of rice per person per month in BPL families as per their poll promise. We gave the Government a set of proposals whereby the state government can give MSP guarantee legally for at least 7 to 10 crops in Karnataka, even as it provides nutrition security to poor households.
