THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE DONATE TO THE YATRA ALONG THE WAY

The individuals in all the meetings and events that we had attended so far had donated Rs. 61,155/- – this includes even lots of coin-donations that we received as well as donations in thousands occasionally. We have had very poor tribal women farmers open their little purses unhesitatingly to donate their fives or tens. We would have spent quite a bit of this already for fuel for the bus.

We have also had friends in Indore donate a handheld mike which has made slogan-shouting in rallies somewhat easier – only somewhat, going by the state of our throats!

We had police officers, RTO at the border checkpost in Tamil Nadu and others donate to the cause – the latter was so touched by our yatra that she promised to donate one month’s salary next month!
